Tax View | Weighing With ScaleQ

July 10, 2019

The tax view is where various tax rates are defined.

These records represent specific taxes or fees applicable to a given transaction. Taxes are assigned as percentages that will be calculated on material charges, hauling charges, etc. Many states require that tax rates be charged based on the material's destination, such as a give county, which may be other than that in which the scale house is operating.

The options are:

  • Code - An easy to remember code that is filled in during a weighing.
  • Name - A more descriptive name for the tax code.
  • Rate - The rate as a percentage that should be used in calculating the tax.
