Happy 4th of July | BBQ Ideas for Independence Day

Happy 4th of July from all of us at ILS.

July 4th 2020

With social distancing and fireworks canceled all over the country I think many of us will be in the backyard. A backyard BBQ sounds pretty good for this year. We can still celebrate the holiday and enjoy good food with family and friends. It's not too hard to keep lawn chairs at a safe distance and still enjoy the company of family and friends.

What is your favorite BBQ food?

Our staff shared their favorite backyard BBQ foods. Here's our top 10 favorites:

  • Hamburgers - nothing like a good old fashion grilled burger. Eat it plain or piled high to the sky. It's good either way.
  • Deviled eggs - nothing says BBQ quite like deviled eggs. Jazz it up for the 4th of July by using a pastry bag with a star tip and a little patriotic red paprika on top.
  • BBQ chicken - grilled to perfection with perfect grill sear marks and tangy barbecue sauce to top it off.
  • Bratwurst - sizzling from the grill with mustard has July 4th written all over it.
  • Ribs - St. Louis or baby back; you can't go wrong with barbecue ribs.
  • Potato salad - a summer classic that makes every BBQ complete.
  • Baked beans - one word - BACON. Yes, that's why baked beans are so good.
  • Corn on the cob - grilled corn on the cob not only looks delicious it tastes as good as it looks.
  • Potato chips - that's right potato chips keeps it simple, salty and perfect to eat at any backyard BBQ.
  • Strawberry pie - no summer cookout is complete without a sweet, refreshing dessert like strawberry pie.

That concludes the top ten list of our favorite BBQ foods for the 4th of July. It was hard to pick just ten BBQ foods. What are your favorite BBQ ideas?

In observation of the 4th of July we will be closed Friday July 3rd. We want to give our staff time off to get BBQ ready. That doesn't mean we aren't still available. Please feel free to call or email us. Our technicians are always on call. Leave a message and someone will get back with you. You can also reach out through the contact us form on our website.
