Freight View | Weighing With ScaleQ

The freight view is used to view and maintain information about freight rates.

Different freight rates, include minimum charges, fuel charges, pay rate and tax exemption used to calculate hauling charges for shipped material. Freight rates are calculated on a dollar per ton basis. A minimum haul charge can be calculated to ensure a minimum revenue if the dollar per ton calculation does not reach the minimum. Flat rate shipping can be established by using a $0.00/ton haul rate and $nn.nn/ton minimum charge. For example, $0.00 x 15 tons = $0.00, but a $50.00 minimum haul charge will result in a $50.00 haul charge.

Above is an example of the freight browse window.

The screenshot above is an example of a freight record.

The options are:

  • Haul rate/ton - The charge to haul a ton of material.
  • Minimum haul charge - The charge to ensure a minimum revenue if the dollar per ton calculation does not reach the minimum.
  • Fuel rate/ton - The charge per ton to cover the cost of fuel.
  • Pay rate/ton - The charge per ton to pay the contracted hauler.
  • Tax exempt - Checked on to indicate the freight rate is tax exempt.
To keep the freight records up to date use the file maintenance feature.
