Typical Operating Sequence

A standard traffic control configuration operates as follows:

Scale Empty

• Incoming and outgoing traffic lights display green.

Vehicle Boards the Scale

• Both traffic lights switch to red.

Weighment Completed

• Outgoing traffic light switches to green, signaling the driver to exit the scale.

Scale Returns to Zero

• Incoming traffic light switches to green, allowing the next vehicle to enter.

This process helps maintain safe and orderly vehicle movement while preventing premature scale access.

Vehicle Positioning Integration

The Traffic Light Control System can integrate with vehicle positioning sensors using photoelectric transmitter and receiver pairs installed at each end of the scale.

When vehicle positioning is enabled:

• Improper vehicle placement is detected automatically.
• Directional indicators can instruct drivers to move forward or backward.
• Weight transactions can be prevented until the vehicle is properly positioned.
